16 Year Old Takes Parents Car For A Joy Ride, Crashes Into Tree

A 16 year old boy went for a joy ride in his parents minivan in the early hours of Friday morning, crashing it into a tree.

The boy, who did not have a license, took his parents 2018 Toyota Sienna for a spin around 1:30am, speeding by a Ramapo Police Officer and taking a red light on Collage Rd.

The officer gave chase, and located the car after the boy failed to negotiate a turn onto Mountain Avenue and hit a tree.

The boy suffered only minor injuries and was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzoloh.
