by Monsey.info
They have been warned.
The Ramapo Police Department has announced its intentions to crack down on truck drivers violating posted signs on local roads. The time for warnings has passed.
“In response to citizen concerns, Ramapo PD has provided ample & reasonable warnings regarding truck drivers violating posted signs on local & county roads in the Town,” the Department wrote on social media. “This was in the form of verbal warnings, social media & message boards.”
For the Department, the times for warnings has passed, and now it is time for enforcement.
“We will now actively enforce these regulations as the public has informed us the warnings have not been effective,” they wrote.
The announcement was met with enthusiasm by many, including the Oizrim Jewish Council, who have found the overlarge vehicles a danger to the roadways.
Contractors are reminded to make sure that their deliveries follow legal routes and do not endanger the public.
