Amy Coney Barrett Confirmed To Supreme Court By Senate

by Monsey.info

Following scathing speeches from both political parties on the Senate floor, Judge Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice with a vote of 52-48.

While the Democrats cried that the confirmation was an abuse of power and illegitimate, the Republicans hammered home the legitimacy of the elected majority, and claimed that the Democrats would do the same in their situation.

Barrett’s confirmation fills the seat of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, effectively tipping the Supreme Court to the conservative majority for the foreseeable future.
