Anti-Semitic Flyers Target Jews in Beverly Hills As Chanukah Begins

by Monsey.info

Jews in Beverly Hills, California woke up Sunday morning to find anti-Semitic flyers waiting for them, with a disgusting message.

“Today, in one of the only Jewish-majority cities outside of Israel, this screed was distributed on residents’ doorsteps,” John Mirisch wrote on Twitter. “The world’s oldest extant form of racism rears its ugly head on Erev Chanukah. The response to this hatred is a simple, but unmistakable: “Am Yisrael Chai.”

Police initially received a report of the flyers around 6:00am outside a persons home. A brief search found that multiple homes had been targeted.

The flyers, which were in plastic bags and weighted down with rice, were found in the Northeast area of the city, according to police.

In response to the hateful message, Rabbi Shlomo Cunin of Beverly Hills Chabad said that the flyers were a “setback” to what the Jewish community has come to expect from the United States, but “We’re going to move forward, and we’re going to support the local law enforcement and everyone else who can come forward to protect all minorities of all backgrounds, of every race and color and creed.”
