BDE: The Rachmistrivka Rebbe, Rabbi Chai Yitzchak Twerski OBM, Passes Away at Age 92

Rabbi Chai Yitzchok Twerski OBM, the Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Boro Park passed away Wednesday at the age of 92.
Rabbi Twersky was born in Yerushalayim in 1931, the son of a prodigious family. He married the daughter of the previous Skvere Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Twersky OBM, who lived in America. In 1982 he succeeded his father as the previous Rachmistrivka Rebbe in Boro Park following his passing. Rabbi Chai Yitzchak Twerski’s older brother became the Rachmistrivka Rebbe in Yerushalayim.
The first Levaya was held today in Boro Park, with a second Levaya and Kevurah taking place this evening on Saddle River Rd and Hillside Ave in Airmont.Boruch Dayan Hoemes
