Fire Guts New Wing of Shul in Buenos Aires

A fire broke out at a Historic Sefardi Synagogue in Buenos Aires, Argentina, completely destroying a new wing of the building. The Synagogue is run by three Chabad Shluchim.

A Buenos Aires Synagogue became an inferno on Wednesday afternoon, destroying an entire wing of the historic Sefardi Synagogue.

The Shul is run by three Chabad Shluchim, Rabbi Shlomo Mizrahi, Rabbi Mendy Mizrahi, and Rabbi Abrumi Mizrahi.

The fire, which thankfully left no injuries, completely destroyed the recently completed wing of the building, along with everything inside. Damages are estimated to be around $180,000.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
