BREAKING: Indoor Mask Mandate For Schools To Be Lifted

Gov Kathy Hochul announced Sunday that the indoor school mask mandate will be lifted this week on March 2nd.

“Now, with COVID cases declining by 98% since the Omicron peak and updated CDCgov guidance in place, we will lift the statewide school mask requirement this coming Wednesday,” Hochul wrote on Twitter.

The dropping of the statewide mandate will not be the end of masks completely, with Healthcare facilities still being required to mask up.

Localities will also have the option of instituting their own mask mandates.
