UPDATED 6:06pm: Israeli Ground Operations Begin On The Lebanon Border
by Monsey.info
The long anticipated ground operation on the Lebanon border has begun, with Israel making the area a closed military zone and artillery bombarding Lebanese towns.
According to reports, the operation is a scaled down version of what was initially planned, allegedly done so after US President Joe Biden requested that the operation be limited.
Lebanese Army troops and United Nation troops have both left their posts on the border and redeployed to positions further towards Beirut, clearly showing that this operation, planned to remove the threat of Hezbollah, is being done in cooperation with the Lebanese military.
This story is breaking and updates will be published as information becomes available.
Update 6:06pm: The IDF has placed a media blackout on virtually all information relating to the ground operation in Lebanon. At present, conflicting information is being given on if Israeli Soldiers have actually crossed the border, with the first report of tanks crossing the border being retracted by the original poster.
Lebanese media has shown a series of bombardments by Israeli aircraft and artillery on southern Lebanon and the City of Beirut.
