Stabbing In Spring Valley, One Person in Custody (UPDATED 4:55PM)

A stabbing at The Finkelstein’s Memorial library at 24 Chestnut St, in Spring Valley was reported just after 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon.

Spring Valley Police and Hatzoloh were dispatched to the scene, where it was reported that CPR had been begun on the victim.

Reports also stated that the suspect in the stabbing was detained by civilians at the scene.

Update: Spring Valley Police has the suspect in custody.

Update: According to an unverified report, the victim was a female employee of the Library. She was Transported by Hatzoloh to Suffern Hospital.

Update: Victim has succumbed to her wounds and passed away in Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was transferred for emergency care.

Update: The Victim, who worked in the library as a security guard, was stabbed about seven times. According to sources, the stabber was her ex-husband.
