Bus Crashes Into Cliff Wall With Nine Children on Board In Pomona Heights

Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Woodfield and S. Ridge in Pomona, NY after a school bus crashed head on into a retaining wall along a cliff face.

Hatzoloh and other emergency services rushed to the scene where they transported the driver and one of the nine children on board to the hospital with minor injuries. The large yellow school bus sustained significant damage in the crash, with the front right corner of the bus seen deformed.

The scene was secured by Haverstraw Police and NRSP and the bus was ultimately removed by a large tow truck. The damage to the wall revealed, heavy machinery was brought in to secure the collapsed area.

The cause of the crash was not revealed and the investigation is ongoing.
