Car Crashes Into Home in Hillcrest, Injuring Driver

In a bizarre crash this afternoon, a car reversed into a home, then crashed nose first into a tree, seriously injuring the driver.

Ramapo Police Department responded to the emergency call at approximately 4:00pm Monday afternoon, to find that the driver had reversed the vehicle into a home on E, Hickory Street in Hillcrest.

The car had hit the homes foundation, caving in a section before the car drove forward, slamming into a tree.

The driver of the vehicle was removed by ambulance in serious condition.

The Town of Ramapo Building inspector responded to the scene and declared the house unable to be occupied.

E. Hickory Street was closed following the crash for an accident investigation.
