Car Leaves Roadway, Becomes Fireball In Early Morning Crash

At approximately 1:57am, Ramapo PD responded to Pinebrook Road in the Village of Chestnut Ridge for the report of a one car crash and car fire.

When officers arrived, they discovered that the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a utility pole before catching fire.

The driver was luckily able to escape the crash without any injuries.

The South Spring Valley Fire Department responded to the fire, quickly extinguishing the blaze.

Orange and Rockland Utilities also responded.
