Car Slides Off The Road in New Heampstead, Crashes Into Utility Pole

A utility pole in New Heampstead became the next victim of the first serious snow storm of the season, when a car slid off the road and hit the pole head on.

The red sedan had been driving during tonight’s snow and ice storm, and loss control.

Ramapo Police were on scene, and reported live from that there were no injuries in the incident.

Residents should stay off the road as much as possible, as the storm is expected to continue dropping a wintery mix on Rockland through Monday.
