Chaverim of Rockland Helps Woman Retrieve $7,000 Ring

The extent that Chaverim of Rockland is willing to go to help another Jew is astounding, and a woman discovered just how far that was this week.

This past Wednesday Chaverim received a call that a women had accidentally left her $7,000 ring on a cafe tray earlier that day. Horror stricken , she turned to Chaverim for help.

Swiftly a crew of Chaverim volunteers started searching and learned that the tray had been dumped in a garbage bag, which in turn had ended up in the cafe’s dumpster.

Without question, the volunteers began searching through the piles of garbage, discovering the ring between the garbage after an hour long search.
