Chaverim Rescues Lost Hikers in Pomona

Two men lost in the woods for nearly 10 hours were located and rescued Wednesday by Chaverim Search and Rescue volunteers.

The men had been out on a hike since 11:00pm, and at some time had taken a wrong turn and lost their way in the woods in Pomona near Rt 202.

The Chaverim volunteers were able to make contact with the freezing hikers and lead them out of the woods.

The Ramapo Police Department were also on scene.
