Chesed Shel Emes Publishes Community Statement

The Chesed Shel Emes organization published a community statement Tuesday, denouncing the publishing and proliferation of videos of niftarim during these trying times.

“We denounce the taking, publicizing and forwarding,of pictures and/or videos of Niftarim and the surrounding scenes, as it’s a terrible bizayon to the niftar and disrespectful to the families.”

The strong statement was published after multiple videos were circulated showing Shomrei Hadaas chapel in Boro Park, with many Niftarim waiting for their respective levayas.

“Every single forward or post of such pictures or videos – whether on on chats or social media – causes tremendous busha and tzar to the meis and the grieving families.”
