Chief Brad Weidel Confirms Connection Between Both Monsey Stabbing Attacks
by Monsey.info
At this afternoons press conference, Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel confirmed the leaked information connecting the two recent stabbings in Monsey, NY.
Grafton Thomas, the alleged Forshay attacker, has been connected to the earlier stabbing on Howard Drive in December that critically injured Monsey resident Mordechai Schlesinger.
Weidel confirmed that detectives had interviewed Thomas immediately after the first stabbing attack on Howard Drive, but did not make an arrest.
Thomas was arrested following the second stabbing attack at the home of Rabbi Rottenberg Motzei Shabbos Chanukah. He fled to New York City where he was arrested. A federal search warrant was then obtained regarding his mothers Honda Pilot, believed to be used in the Howard Drive stabbing.
Rumors tell of a knife found with blood on it, believed to be used in the first stabbing. This rumor was not confirmed by Chief Weidel.
The investigation is ongoing, according to Weidel, and further updates will be provided as information becomes available to the public.
