
County Gets $118,000 Emergency Preparedness Grant To Boost County Resilience

Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services Director Chris Kear joined County Executive Ed Day to sign a resolution approving an Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) in the amount of $118,787 to provide the County with emergency preparedness assistance for the protection of life and property.
The grant is from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and administered by the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services (NYS DHSES).
