A crazed attack in Monsey Sunday afternoon left an elderly man with bites to the arm.

Hatzoloh and Chaverim responded to Highview Road between College Rd and Hilltop Pl, just down the from Shaarei Tefilah, for reports of a man assaulted.

The police arrived and took one person into custody, and the victim was treated by Hatzoloh for bites to his arm.

This story is preliminary, and will be updated as information becomes available.

Update: According to reports, the victim had hired a company to clean his lawn. The owner bought a worker and left, leaving his worker to do the work for the hired job.

The victim allegedly went down to move his car in the driveway and the worker asked to use the bathroom. The victim declined to allow the worker inside, and as the victim went up the steps into his porch, the worker followed him up. The worker then allegedly pulled out a scissors and started assaulting the victim, and during the assault bit the victim in the arm.

The victims wife saw what was happening and called Chaverim. After a few seconds the victims son-in-law also arrived and saw how the perp was trying to throw over his father-in-law over the porch fence. He intervened, running up as the worker dropped the victim and started fighting with the son-in-law.

Seconds later multiple Chaverim members arrived on scene and held down the worker until the police arrived. Upon arrival of the police, they tried to cuff the worker, which required the help of the Chaverim volunteers.

Ultimately, they cuffed the worker and called EMS to transport the perp to the hospital with police gioing along as an escort.

The Victim was checked out by Hatzolah and is being treated for his injuries.
