Crews Restore Service to 11,180 Customers Affected by Heavy Winds Accompanying Arctic Front

Approximately 11,180 customers have been affected by the heavy wind gusts that have swept through our region in the past 24-hours as temperatures plummet below zero. O&R crews worked through the day and overnight to restore electric service to 11,180 customers.

As of Saturday morning 282 customers in Rockland County were still without power. Work continued through the day to restore the power for all.

O&R also continues to closely monitor its gas system. At this time, there has been no interruption to gas service.
