Crime Alert: Card Skimmer Discovered At M&T in Wesley Hills

Residents are being urged to check their bank accounts Tuesday after a skimmer was discovered at the M&T branch in Wesley Hills.

According to Mayor Marshall Katz, the skimmer – which reads your card information as it is inserted into a slot – was discovered on the branch’s ATM, but nodate as for when it was placed there was announced.

“Residents are urged to check their bank accounts for unauthorized withdrawals,” Katz wrote. “If you are a victim of this crime you should contact the Ramapo Police at 845-357-2400 for information on how to report this crime.”

Once the crime has been reported, residents should also either visit an M&T Bank branch or a branch of whatever bank you bank at, or call the phone number on the back of your bank card to report the crime and request a reimbursement from your bank.
