Cuomo Sets Limits Gatherings At 500, Reduces Legal Facility Capacity

Governor Andrew Cuomo enacted additional emergency measures today in an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
“We are taking new actions to reduce the density of people across the state.”
Starting Friday at 5:00pm, any gatherings off 500 people or more will no longer be permitted in New York State. This is double the limit in New Jersey where the maximum amount allowed is 250, and five times more than Israel with a maximum of 100.
Additionally, Cuomo ordered that facilities with an occupancy of 500 or fewer, we are reducing the legal capacity by 50%.
