Drunk Driver Arrested After Being Pulled Over With Three Children in the Car

An arrest and automatic felony Monday morning when a Ramapo Police Officer pulled over a driver in a traffic stop and discovered the driver was intoxicated, with three children in the car.
“At 02:54 AM Monday morning, a Ramapo Police Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic infraction,” the Ramapo Police Department wrote on Facebook. “During the course of the stop the officer’s investigation revealed evidence that the driver of the vehicle, a 37 year old male from Monroe, was impaired by alcohol.”
According to the police, the drivers 8-year-old daughter and 3-month-old son were in the vehicle, as well as a 1 year old male.
The intoxicated driver was processed for the following charges: 3 Counts of DWI with Child in vehicle (Leandra’s Law/Felony), Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), along with 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor), and False Personation.
He was released without bail in accordance with NYS Bail Reform and is due back in Court in accordance.
