Eviction Moratorium Ends In New York State

by Monsey.info

A moratorium on evictions in New York State ended Saturday, potentially opening the door for Landlords to begin eviction actions against their tenants.

New York State Governor Kathy Hochul declined to extend the Moratorium enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the removal of the moratorium, thousands of tenants who have either fallen behind on their rents or have landlords waiting to begin eviction proceedings, may now face loosing their homes.
