Forshay Attacker’s Trial Begins Today

by Monsey.info

The trial of Grafton Thomas, the alleged attacker who injured five people over Chanukah, began today at the New City Courthouse.

Thomas arrived wearing an orange prison suit to face the multiple counts against him. He was greeted by his lawyer, Michael Sussman, who will represent him in this trial.

Thomas stands accused of going on a slashing spree with a large machete, injuring five people at the Tisch of Rabbi Rottenberg on Forshay Ave in Monsey.

The worse injured is Rabbi Josef Neumann, who remains in a coma due to his injuries.

Sussman has made the argument that Thomas was off his medication, and therefore not in control of himself at the time of the attack.
