
Family of Six to Rescued in Friday Search and Rescue Operation
A family of six hikers at Harriman State Park, called Chaverim of Rockland for help Friday afternoon, prompting a Search and Rescue operation. The family was brought to safety after being lost for hours.

Just hours before shabbos, Chaverim of Rockland received a call for help from a family of six hikers who had gotten lost off trail.
Twenty Five Chaverim volunteers were dispatched to Harriman State Park, where they located the family.
The father thankfully had cellphone reception, and was able to communicate with the rescuers.
Th family was assisted out of the woods, with some being too exhausted and cold, needing to be carried out.
