Update: IDF says that Palestinian terrorists have launched 270 rockets and mortars from Gaza. 205 successfully crossed border, 65 fell short. The Iron Dome intercepted 62 with 3 impacting urban areas.

From Sderot to Tel Aviv, Israeli civilians are running to shelters as nearly 100 rockets have been fired from Gaza in the last few hours.

This recent round of escalation, code named “Shield and Arrow”, began after Israel targeted multiple high level Islamic Jihad officials in a surprise move.

Initial reaction to the attack was delayed, but ultimately the Gazan factions began launching rockets towards Israel.

Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says 17 people have died and 37 have been wounded since the IDF launched its operation.
