Home Invader Gets Shot By Resident, Then Gets Arrested In Story of Real Life Justice


On April 2nd, at approximately 9:30am, State Troopers responded to a report of shots fired in the town of Monticello.

When they arrived, they found an unhappy individual who reported that two people had broken into his home, and that they had both fled in a pickup truck.

According to the apartments resident, the two, later identified as Andre Fogo, age 32 and Rachain Wilson age 28 had forced their way into an apartment to confront the resident about a previous altercation. After they began beating the resident, the individual pulled out his gun and fired, striking 28-year-old Wilson.

The two fled in a pickup truck to Garnet Health Medical Center Catskill, where they were tracked down by State Police.

According to the police, the individual who fired the weapon is a licensed gun owner and provided the state police with all proper documents.

Wilson was treated at the hospital and released with non-life-threatening injuries. Andre Fogo and Rachain Wilson were charged with Burglary 1st degree, a class B felony. Both were arraigned and remanded to Sullivan County Jail on lieu of bail.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Village of Monticello Police Department, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County District Attorney Office.

This is an ongoing investigation.
