by Monsey.info
The fall season has arrived, with colorful leaves and extreme weather.
Recent rains and high winds have toppled trees across Rockland County, causing isolated street closures and damage.
Perhaps the most significant damage reported yet took place Monday morning, when a tree came down on a garage, causing significant damage.
“RPD is on scene at 115 Ewing Ave in Hillcrest, where this large tree came down on a detached garage,” The Ramapo Police Department posted on Facebook. “Fortunately, nobody was injured. Building Inspectors are responding to the scene to assess the damage.”
The Ramapo police department sent out a notification to residents warning of the potential dangers of high winds, having dealt with at least one downed tree blocking a road and taking down wires.
