Hiker Rescued By Chaverim After Getting Lost Off Trail

Rockland Chaverim’s Search and Rescue Team mobilized Sunday after a call for help was made by a hiker who had become lost.

Chaverim received the call Sunday afternoon after a hiker, described as a male in his 20’s, left a trail in Ramapo and became lost.

Chaverim’s Search and Rescue Team identified the lost hikers car, and using their training, were able to pinpoint the hikers likely location.

After an intense search, the hiker was located, given first aid, an carried out of the woods.

Chaverim’s work was done alongside the Ramapo Police Department.
