Icy Road Conditions Throughout The County Make For Treaturous Commute

Watch out it’s icy out there.
After last night’s snow, the roads have gone from pristinely white-coated, to a sheet of ice threatening drivers across the county.
“RPD is responding to numerous reports of motor vehicle crashes and icy road conditions,” the Ramapo Police Department wrote on their Facebook page. “Please use caution when heading out this morning, and be patient as the Highway Department workers make their way around the Town.”
Snowstorms are not new to Rockland County, and the municipal services have stepped up, salting roads and laying sand to keep the roads safe.
Still, multiple crashes have been reported due to the icy road conditions.
One surprising incident happened when Monsey’s Fire Department Chief, a Frum Jew, had his emergency vehicle overturn. Thankfully he was uninjured.
