K’hal Bnei Torah of Haverstraw, Building on Our Growth
In just a few years, K’hal Bnei Torah of Haverstraw has GROWN into a prime location for Torah and tefillah for the Haverstraw community and beyond.
From the special Shabbos tefillos to the consistent weekday minyanim, from the energetic Night Seder to the non-stop Bain Hazmanim learning, KBT is a place of GROWTH for Haverstraw Yiddishkeit, a Bais Medrash where Yidden from across the community, connect with Hakadosh Baruch Hu and each other.
With the continued GROWTH of KBT, the need for BUILDING a proper Bais Medrash to accommodate our kehilla became apparent. In 2020, KBT purchased a centrally located property to build a shul for our kehilla. Over the past three years, we have continued BUILDING ON OUR GROWTH, working hard to rezone the property and acquiring approvals and permits. Now, with much siyata dishmaya, we are in the middle of building!
We have invested much effort to ensure that this new Bais Medrash will allow us to continue BUILDING ON OUR GROWTH as we construct a place that will accommodate our needs and provide an elegant and inspiring space where Torah and tefillah will flourish, yet in a modest fashion.
Baruch Hashem, our community recognizes the crucial importance of creating this Makom Torah Utefillah and has taken on the responsibility of raising the necessary funds for this endeavor. Many individuals have stepped forward with generous commitments. People have made long-term pledges, and we have bez”H already collectively put together $1 million from within our community.
Our shul also reflects the ongoing BUILDING ON THE GROWTH of the broader Haverstraw Jewish community as it benefits all Yidden living in the community. It is the first shul to be built in Haverstraw, and it will also feature a much-needed Simcha Hall that will be available.
Now, we turn to you to have a zechus in our growing kehilla and make this makom of Torah and tefillah into a reality as we raise the next $1,000,000 so that we can move ever closer to our goal and move forward in BUILDING ON OUR GROWTH.
