KLBD’s Mashgichim Conference Returns after COVID-19
KLBD’s Factory Mashgichim conference finally returned after the Corona pandemic.
The attendees came together for two days of training and chizuk at the Kinloss United Synagogue in Finchley, North London.
The Mashgichim spent time with the Dayonim of the London Beth Din. The programme included a welcome address by the Rosh Beis Din Dayan Menachem Gelley, who praised the whole team for their dedication and tireless work around the globe.
A shiur from Dayan Shmuel Simons generated lively debate that brought the Mashgichim back to the Yeshiva environment. Rabbi Shlomi Wise of the KLBD’s office-based Rabbinic team ran a session on auditing factories and writing reports.
Rabbi Elie Schoemann and Reb Menasche Scharf introduced Mashgichim to a new online system: klbdonline.org. Rabbi Ariel Eisner gave a presentation on the halochos involved in inspecting shipping Kosher goods, like tankers and containers.
The Mashgichim also enjoyed an open session, where they were able to raise questions, offer advice and suggest improvements about aspect of their work, with the aim to further enhance the work of the KLBD.
Rabbi Jeremy Conway, Director of KLBD, said: “Baruch Hashem, the event was a great success and there was a tangible feeling of unity amongst the team throughout.”
