Major Crash Shuts North Airmont Rd Wednesday Night

A major crash shut the area around North Airmont Road and the New York State Thruway Wednesday night, and sent one person to the hospital.

The two car crash took place around 11:00pm, and left a red jeep badly damaged.

The occupant of the jeep had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters, and was transported to the hospital by Rockland Hatzoloh.

Ramapo PD notified residents of the areas closure, and updated that the streets were opened as of 5:00am.
