Major Optimum Outage Hits New Jersey and Rockland County

A major outage of Optimum service has hit the New York and New Jersey areas, taking out internet and phone connection for thousands.

According to Down Detector the issues began being reported around 8:00pm Monday, with a major spike in reports lasting through 10:00pm. As of the writing of this article, service has not been restored.

“Some customers in NY, NJ, and CT are experiencing a loss of service,” Optimum Help wrote on X. “We’re aware of this issue and our teams are working on restoring the service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
