UPDATED: Mentally Ill Former Soldier Escapes Rockland Court House

Christopher Palumbo, a 33 years old former military man, escaped a Rockland County courthouse Monday afternoon, and is on the run from the police.
Palumbo, who was described as a white male standing 5’06”, escaped custody on foot, and is considered to be unarmed.
According to Clarkstown PD, he has a distinctive tattoo’s on his neck, and was wearing a Ponytail, gray colored hoodie, red or orange hat, black pants and gray shoes.
Palumbo was the recipient of a prestigious military award for acts of valour in Afghanistan in 2005. He was arrested in NYC in 2014 after being found with a shotgun on subway.

Update: The individual is back in Police custody.
