A high end BMW was stolen straight out of a Pomona driveway Sunday morning, prompting a search across state lines.
Ramapo Police and Chaverim were called to the home when the owners noticed that their 2020 Grey BMW M8 had been stolen.
Video footage from the theft shows the brazen thief pull up with an accomplice in a black vehicle before hopping out and approaching the car. After gaining entry, the thief proceeded to get out of a tight spot by hitting two other cars, driving onto the grass, and flattering a fence.
Volunteers from multiple Shomrim and Chaverim organizations began tracking the vehicle as it made its way into New Jersey. Ultimately the car was not recovered.
