Multiple Felony and Misdemeanor Charges for Rockland Man Accused of Providing False Paperwork
Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh announced the indictment of a Rockland County man for providing false information on employment applications with the Rockland County Department of Personnel. The 8-count indictment included felony and misdemeanor charges.
Raymond Canario, 45, was arraigned in Rockland County Court before the Honorable Kevin F. Russo this morning. Canario has been indicted on 4 counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree (felony) and 4 counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the Second Degree (misdemeanor). The charges relate to false information provided on four employment applications filed by the Defendant with the Rockland County Department of Personnel.
Raymond Canario was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled for a court appearance on April 6, 2022. The case is being prosecuted by Executive Assistant District Attorney Michael Dugandzic and Supervising Assistant District Attorney Ryan Sweeney.

It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
