Multiple Illegal Rifles and Handguns Seized In Sloatsburg
This past weekend the Ramapo Police Department Patrol and Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the Village of Sloatsburg. As a result, a 28-year-old male was arrested for possession of multiple illegal guns.
According to the police, the man was charged with having five or more illegal firearms, multiple silencers, and high-capacity magazines.
A handout image from the police department shows four “assault” style rifles, four hand guns, and gear for the weapons.
The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations both assisted in the investigation.
The man was arraigned in the Village of Sloatsburg Court and released on $5,000 bail.
It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
