Neturei Karta Gathering Becomes Largest Pro-Israel Demonstration In Rockland County History

A Neturei Karta anti-Israel demonstration outside Sheiners Shul in Forshay backfired badly on the group Monday night after hundreds of people poured into the streets in counter protest, effectively creating the largest pro-Israel demonstration in Rockland County history.
According to reports, the small group of Neturei Karta members stood outside Shiners Shul Monday evening, attracting what was initially a small group of Israeli flag waving counter protesters. The small group did not last long as hundreds more pro-Israel demonstrators flooded the streets.
Within a short time the Ramapo Police Department called The Rockland Sheriff Department and State Police for additional manpower. The crowd continued to grow further, prompting the call for additional officers from Clarkstown as well.
According to The Yeshiva World, the Neturei Karta protest was prompted by a special event at the shul, in which Yehuda Alon, a shemitta farmer and IDF veteran, provided a first-hand account of the October 7 atrocities by Hamas.
The protest and counter protest, while loud and boisterous, were none the less peaceful with no reports of arrests or injuries.
