New York Judge Bars All Cuomo’s Executive Orders on Houses of Worship

A permanent injunction was handed down Tuesday morning from a New York District Judge barring all Cuomo’s Executive Orders associated with Houses of Worship.
The injunction was put in place by Hon. Kiyo A. Matsumoto, and filed on February 9th.
In the brief, the judge noted the lead-up of court rulings that decided that such restrictions were unconstitutional, changing preliminary injunction to a permanent one.
The injunction orders “The court grants a permanent injunction against enforcement of EO 202.68’s 25% capacity or maximum of 10-people, and 33% capacity or maximum of 25-people limitations on houses of worship, respectively in red and orange zones,” but does not remove the executive orders entirely.
