Nyack Shooting Suspect Arrested in Maryland

The suspect a fatal shooting that took place in Nyack has been apprehended, in Maryland.

The Orangetown Police Department made the announcement today at a press briefing on the investigation.

The shooting had occurred at approximately 10:05am in the area of S. Midland Ave. in Nyack, fatally injuring a 30 year old man from Haverstraw, who was later pronounced dead in the hospital. The shooter had fled the location and an investigation was launched.

Overnight, Orangetown Police Department detectives responded to Maryland, where the suspect was apprehended thanks to a collaboration between multiple police departments.
