Op-Ed: A New Low For Our Great Country

by Dovid Goldbaum

Sadly, our great country has just reached a new low

Yesterday, the unbelievable occurred.

For the first time in American history, a president was impeached twice.

Never mind, that he only has a week left in office. Never mind, that he clearly condemned the violence multiple times. Never mind, that that even during the speech itself he called for peaceable protests. Never mind, that this the first time that a Trump rally has devolved into violence. Never mind, that the left has either outright supported violence, or denied that it existed all summer. Never mind, that even when faced with their outright hypocrisy, they still uphold the right for the violence from BLM and Antifa and denounce the Capitol riot.

No matter what President Trump says or does, it is never enough for the Stalinist left. They are not interested in seeking the truth, or seeking “unity “. All they want is to create division, crush their opponents and grab ever more power. On the contrary, when the President tweeted a call for peace, they took it down and then banned him from the platform because he “incited violence “.

All he did was complain when the many constitutional violations and allegations of fraud, were not allowed to be investigated. Not a single court had the will or courage to bring any of the hundreds of witnesses to the stand. No matter how many forensic analyses were done on votes that were concerning, they were all brushed away as “nothing”. When audits were done, they were done without real supervision and they were shockingly “self audits”. When subpoenas were issued, they were ignored. Literally every issue with the election and there were many, was brushed under the rug.

Trump had the constitutional right and indeed the duty to his millions of voters, to fight to get the truth out about the elections. When Senators and Congressmen objected to the certification of the electors, they were doing their constitutional duty. Indeed many Democrats have objected in years past amd they were not called traitors.

While President Trump might not be the most refined politician, or even a politician at all, he speaks his mind. We know that he means what he writes. He is not one big lie.
What we are seeing from his political opponents and what has always been so abhorrent to so many millions of Americans, is the creation of a false narrative. Where you accuse your opponent of something of which he is not guilty, indeed of something of which you were guilty of all summer long. The condoning and encouragement of violence and the bailing out of rioters.

He has largely accomplished an incredible legacy both domestic and foreign and especially for the Jewish People. It is a basic jewish value, of Hakaras Hatov to be thankful to him, appreciate all of the good that he has accomplished and to give him the benefit of the doubt. There has never been a President who has been so supportive of Israel and the Jewish Community as Trump. It is not even close.

It is astonishing to me, to see Frum Yidden speak against him. Look at the full picture. Look at how often the left and the media have tried to smear him no matter what it is about. How they have tried to downplay his many accomplishments. Most of all, look at how we finally have had a true friend in Washington, someone who was not afraid to stand up to enormous pressure and fight for Eretz Eretz Yisroel.

If the left can take down the most powerful man in the world, imagine what could happen if they turn their attention to Eretz Yisroel and Yiddishkeit.

We have already seen what can happen when De Blasio decide to target the Jewish Community in New York.

We all have to do what we can to fight against this evil and to show our support for what’s right and just.

Thank you President Trump for the last four years. You have definitely earned your place among the Chassidei Umos Haolam.
