O&R Estimates Remaining Customers to Be Restored by 11:00 P.M. Tonight

O&R continues to repair damage and restore power outages to the 281 remaining customers who lost power during Wednesday night’s severe thunderstorms and strong winds.

O&R estimates that these remaining customers should be restored by 11:00 p.m. tonight. Crews will continue to repair downed wires and broken poles, and clear downed trees that resulted from the storm.

Dry Ice Distribution

O&R is also scheduled to distribute an additional 3,500 pounds of dry ice in Warwick, NY today, June 28. Here are the details:

As of 6:15 a.m. today, approximately 281 O&R customers remain without power in the following areas, with listed towns affected the most:

Orange County: 190

Warwick Town — 51

Washingtonville — 22

Woodbury — 22

Rockland County: 49

Clarkstown — 14

Orangetown — 14

Chestnut Ridge — 6

Bergen County: 36

Mahwah — 15

Closter — 7

Franklin Lakes — 6

For safety’s sake, O&R warns the public not to touch or approach any downed wire. Assume the wire is energized and dangerous. Call O&R immediately toll-free 1-877-434-4100. Depending on the situation, you may also consider calling your local police to divert traffic from the downed wire’s location until an O&R crew arrives.
