Palisades Entrance To GW Bridge Goes Cashless, No More Carpool
by Monsey.info
Despite a reversal on plans to go cashless and do away with the carpool discount, the Palisades entrance to the George Washington Bridge has done away with manned tollbooths.
The change was announced on twitter as beginning on February 2nd at 3am, with the those looking to use carpool being told to use the Upper and Lower level Toll Plazas.
For those using the GWB without E-ZPass, tolls will be paid to the vehicles licence plate, and a bill sent in the mail.
The plans to go cashless and do away with the carpool discount had been planned for the beginning of the year, but was reversed following a a large change.org petition.
Cashless tolling is coming to the Palisades Interstate Parkway entrance to the #GeorgeWashingtonBridge at 3am on February 2. For cash payments and carpool plan discounts, use the upper and lower level toll plazas of the GWB. To learn more, visit: https://t.co/sghGOUoEq7 pic.twitter.com/b3ElhqW70k
