Parts of New Heampstead Without Power After Accident Takes Down Utility Pole

An early morning crash shut power to parts of New Heampstead Thursday morning.

The outage is due to a downed utility pole from the crash on New Hempstead Road west of Route 45. The street has been closed due to the crash.

N injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Numerous traffic lights are also not functioning in the area, and are being manned by Ramapo Police officers.

Orange and Rockland Utilities is on scene for repairs.
