Pomona Heights Community Learns To Save Lives With CPR
by Monsey.info
Grandma Fay collapses in front of you, 2 year old Sara was eating lunch and starts choking, swimming in the pool you notice 14 year old Jason at the bottom of the pool not moving… What do you do?
The community of Pomona Heights took the issue seriously, joining together in the Shul at 60 Halley to learn the lifesaving techniques of CPR.
The Community CPR training was sponsored by Rockland Hatzoloh, NRSP, Vicky’s Doula Services, and the The Shul of Pomona Heights, with men and woman signing up to learn from an experienced instructor.
This 3.5 hour lecture and hands on training gave all participants the skills needed to perform CPR and choking maneuvers without the need for any equipment. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training was also provided.
Unfortunately most people don’t know what to do when an emergency strikes and quickly panic. Seconds seem like minutes, minutes seem like hours and simple CPR can save a life.
