The Stop & Shop Supermarket in Pomona has officially set a date that it will close its doors, and rumors say that a Jewish Supermarket will be taking its place.

Employees of the Pomona Stop & Shop on Route 202 have received notice that the store will be closing next September, making this coming year its final.

Rumor has it that another Superstore, the Jewish Evergreen Supermarket, will be taking its place, filling a need for an all kosher Supermarket for the Pomona Jewish community.

No information has been released if Stop & Shop will be opening in another Pomona location.
