A charred skeleton of a school bus is all that remains from a pre-Chanukah miracle in Wesley Hills Thursday. A miracle that saw a bus burst unto flames and no one injured.
“I am sure that by now you have heard about the incredible Neis that took place this morning involving six of our Talmidim,” the Menahel of Yeshiva Ohr Reuven of Forshay wrote in a letter to parents. “They were on the Minyan bus coming to Yeshiva when a fire broke out, but Chasdei Hashem they were able to get off the bus just before it exploded and engulfed in flames. Thankfully, the boys are B”H doing fine.”
Witnesses reported that the fire had begun at the buses rear wheels, with pictures showing flames billowing out from around the tires as the bus is parked on the side of the road.
Minutes later, all that could be seen of the bus was a wall of bright flames.
According to reports, a father of one of the students realized something was amiss when he smelled smoke and evacuated the boys from the bus. There were six boys on the bus at the time and all were evacuated without injury.
