PSA: Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect For Rockland County

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been announced by the National Weather Service part of the tri state area, warning of potential lightning and downpours through 11:00pm tonight.

Flash flooding is possible late Thursday through Friday evening as well.

A heat advisory is also in effect for New York City Tuesday through 8:00pm tonight. Temperatures are expected to hit the low 100’s with high humidity making it worse.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest temperatures are expected between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
